Star pianist Albert Frantz, raised in Pennsylvania, USA, is also known as a teacher, business founder and software developer. His passion is to combine hands-on learning on the instrument with teaching music theory. He teaches himself and has also developed various products for music education. As the founder of the popular online piano learning platform key-notes, he develops pedagogically and technologically innovative music education programs. We visit him virtually in his Bösendorfer studio in Vienna, talk with him (in German and English) about digital technologies in music education, the functions and philosophy of his software, as well as his view on technology use.
