Hallo Altmark Kickoff

After months of intensive preparation, the official implementation of a university project is coming up. On March 1st, the website of the project ROLAND named “hallo altmark” was officially launched and is now useable for customers.

The new platform hallo altmark introduces retailers from the Altmark. Customers have the opportunity to obtain future inspiration for their next purchase and are able to discover regional retailers online. With the launch of the platform 22 traders from Stendal, Tangermünde, Gardelegen und Salzwedel are listed so far. The variety of products is already huge. Customers can find fashion, jewellery, organic products and gourmet food, children’s fashion and toys, electronics, decoration, books and more. Project manager Wiedemer calls the website “a piece of Altmark presented in the rather homelessly online world”.

The project is funded by the Federal Programme “Rural Development” and implemented within the framework of the model project “Land(auf)Schwung” of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL). The interdisciplinary team of the university includes Prof. Dr. Volker Wiedemer (Project Management), Prof. Dr. Michael Herzog, Prof. Dr. Günter Mey, Theresia Laske (M. Sc.) and Paul Osterburg. During the development of the regional online marketplace, extensive discussions with regional retailers and potential customers were held.
