Podcast on the „NachLeben“ project

The conference “Du bist wie du isst. Nachhaltig ausbilden in Lebensmittelberufen“ organised by BIBB – Federal Institute for Education and Research had to be cancelled due to the Corona Pandemic and took place on 19th May 2020 in form of a webinar as an alternative. The seminar provided a detailed presentation of pilot projects for sustainability-oriented concepts for skills development in occupations in the food industry. The “NachLeben” project is one of a total of 18 pilot projects which are being funded by BIBB and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to improve vocational education and training in the context of sustainability.

In addition to exciting speeches and discussions in the webinar, the participants in the pilot projects were given the opportunity to present their work on the BIBB website and make it available on a long-term basis. Videos, podcasts, and more were produced in a creative way to present the ideas and results of the pilot projects.

The “NachLeben” pilot project of the SPiRIT research group which deals with the development and testing of sustainability-oriented teaching and learning arrangements, presented its work by means of a podcast: Linda Vieback from the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg and Lukas Folkens from the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal talk about the tasks and purposes of the pilot project “NachLeben”, report on what has been achieved so far and how the current situation around the corona pandemic affects the implementation.
