Research Team SPiRIT

The research group SPiRIT – Science Projects in Radio and Information Technology is an interdisciplinary institution of the department for management and the department for electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal. Prof. Dr. Michael A. Herzog und Prof. Dr. –Ing. Olaf Friedewald established the research group as a ThinkTank and project development group in the summer of 2012.

Innovative solutions in the range of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), SocialMedia and web technologies, as well as process and content engineering take the current centre stage. In addition, research proposals for teaching and learning with digital media are implemented.

The work of the research group SPiRIT mainly depends on the support of external funds in collaboration with companies and other research institutions. The interdisciplinary work of young scientists and motivated students is encouraged due to excellent support in research and development projects.

Our experienced team members have a special commitment to project-oriented teaching. They do also communicate the fundament of their respective business areas, frequently in other subject areas as well.

Regularly, interested students, scientists and companies are kindly invited to colloquia and further events!
