This wealth of information can be harnessed to drive data-driven decision-making, improve efficiency, optimize processes, and enable predictive analysis. Intelligent systems built on hyper-sensor networks have the potential to revolutionize sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, environmental monitoring, and smart cities. They can enable proactive maintenance, early detection of anomalies, precise resource allocation, and the development of sustainable and resilient solutions. Furthermore, these systems can empower organizations and individuals by providing them with valuable insights and actionable information. They can facilitate better planning, resource management, and informed decision-making, ultimately leading to improved outcomes and a competitive edge.
In this talk, I will address the (1) evolution of possibilities provided when a simple sensor network transforms to a hyper sensor network using the case study of a community-based “CleanBreathe” environmental monitoring project. I will discuss the (2) challenges of data engineering and predictive analysis using complex and diverse data sources, and end with (3) how this approach and knowledge can drive innovation, improve efficiency, and unlock new opportunities for healthcare, agriculture, environmental and smart cities.

Prof. Vladimir Trajkovik, PhD
Vladimir Trajkovik is a Computer Science and Engineering professor specializing in Intelligent Systems Analysis and Design, Distributed Sensor Systems, and ICT-based Collaboration Systems at the University of Skopje (UKIM).
